stuffed animal dragon
I created this dragon plushie to display at my senior show. I wanted a five foot dragon! But it only came out 2.5 feet. I might make another one, only with wings and spines instead of a water dragon. And larger. It depends on whether or not I can get a helper this weekend and how much work I can get done before then. The coloring was done with various markers, some alcohol, cotton balls, q-tips, and help from a tutorial from magweno (magweno.etsy.com - go buy it!). Body is minky stuffed with polyfill and pellets for weight. Cute black safety eyes. Needle sculpted paws. The fins on the head, along the back, and the tail fin have pipe cleaner in between the sewn lines for stability and slight poseability. All around super awesome <3
My biggest, most awesome project yet. I’m nervous. The prototype is great, but it will be a difficult task. And messing things up will be an expensive mess

Narwhals narwhals *giggles* :D I got together one large and one small narwhal of the rainbow colors, like my rainbow collection of dragons. I also have photos of each individual narwhal. I’m frustrated at how difficult it is to get a pure white background and have the horns still show up, but it’s not too bad. You can find these and other narwhals on my etsy store. <3 BeeZeeArt
Oh my gosh I just discovered your store and I am so going to buy the monocle narwhal for my best friend for her birthday in June!!!

No rest for the crafted… I feel blurry eyed and stupid, but between work and school I just have to power through!

bacon wrapped narwhal
Hard to see the horn in some of these, but here you have it! The majestic bacon wrapped narwhal. :) You can purchase this (and other less bacony) narwhals through my Etsy Store <3 BeeZeeArt
I only feel slightly guilty. My teacher gave me the idea of making stuffed versions of my buttons. Just a preview, I’ll list this on Etsy later along with edited photos and three new bacon wrapped pin/keychain/manget designs. For now, I need sleep. You can purchase bacon narwhal pins (or get them at magnets or keychains) on Etsy.
betta fish plushie
stuffed animal betta fish
arts and crafts
A custom fish for a customer whose betta passed away. I decided to take the time to make a half moon tail pattern. I wont be adding it to my pattern set, but it’s rather easy to modify the pattern to make custom tails. You just have to draw a new tail onto the body piece. I will, however, be adding it to the list for custom betta fish at an additional price. It is a rather tricky tail with more lines to sew and quite a lot of handsewing to get the tail overlap. Purchase your own custom betta here. Buy my betta fish pattern here. Or here. (I always prefer to sell patterns on Craftsy as they don’t take a portion of the sale like Etsy :) ) <3 BeeZeeArt
I know you make the moths but have you ever thought about Bees?

With the help of a friend of mine, astro73, I finally made some progress coding my new site. And I figured out a lot of things on my own, I’m so proud. This is a modified version of the idstore theme I purchased for wordpress running the woocommerce plugin. Luckily, I’m actually doing this for class (just like I’m also making buttons for class!!!) So I actually have about 6-8 hours a week to work during class time. I feel like I’m walking such a fine line because I am no graphic designer and no coder, but I’m making things work. It’s very close to my site mockup I did in photoshop so I’m thrilled.
magweno: The Magweno Moth Wing Tutorial is now available! This is a 36 page tutorial on how to design, cut, sew and dye moth wings just like the ones on my own moth dolls! It includes detailed instructions and photographs on how to: ➤ Prepare and print a digital moth image for use ➤ Mark out, cut and sew the wings on a sewing machine ➤ Attach interfacing to make the wings stiffer ➤ Select which colours to use and how to layer them ➤ Blending techniques ➤ Instructions on how to match up both sides so they look symmetrical ➤ Tips and tricks on how to get smooth blends and accurate markings You too could make your own stunning, soft and beautiful moth wings! I have been inundated with requests on how to make these and have been shy about sharing my secrets until now. I have perfected my technique and have plenty of tips and tricks to share and have collated them into this one PDF. It’s a specific walk-through to the first image, the Luna moth wings, but the principles can be used on any design! There is an inspiration sheet to give you more ideas, and a list of suppliers for materials and an idea how much materials will cost in two different countries. Purchasing this tutorial also gives you access to prioritised advice via email! All messages using the secret subject heading will be responded to in depth, without being elusive or coy, and within 12-24 hours. This is a beginner level tutorial, although you may need to know how to use a straight stitch on a sewing machine. Click here to download! Just wanted to share this tutorial by Maddy, a very talented artist who I think I own three dolls from. She’s put together a great tutorial here and I could see it having a lot of great uses.
I love this fake fur. So soft and high quality. I’m glad to be working with it again even if it is expensive.
I had to fold and put away all my fleece to make space for all the minky I ordered. The bottom shelves that aren’t showing have fake fur. no wonder I rarely go to the fabric store these days. I have one here in my craft room !
