Digital Download FAQ

If you’ve ever purchased, or plan to purchase, a sewing pattern from me here are some common questions about my digital downloads which may help you!

If you want to just see how the process works before you try it, you can go through and “purchase” a free pattern. You’ll need to complete checkout as usual, but you won’t need to pay anything.

What file type are your patterns?
All patterns are .pdf file types. You will need a program which supports .pdf files in order to view your download. I recommend Adobe Reader which is a free program, just be sure to uncheck the extra programs it may try to install for you on the download page.

How are the downloads delivered?
Upon finishing your purchase, you will need to wait a moment for the transaction to finish processing.


Once complete, you will see the download button right on the checkout page.


You will also receive an email with a receipt and an email with a download link. The download link email looks like this. 


On the receipt email, clicking on the “View Your Order” button will take you back to the receipt page you see after you finish your purchase where you can also find the download button again.

These emails may get filtered to your spam or trash, be sure to check both and double check when purchasing that you are using the correct email.

I lost my download emails
Please send me an email with your name, email, and order # and I can re-send the emails. If your email has changed, you’ll need to let me know.

I’m getting an error message or having issues with my download
There are a few things you can do to try and resolve errors on your own.

- Disable any addons that might block content from being downloaded
- Check your internet and make sure you have a strong connection
- If you have a file that downloaded, but won’t open, try deleting it and downloading it again
- Try a different browser (for example, if you are using Chrome, try Firefox)
- Restart your computer
- Check that Shopify is available (my store is hosted through Shopify) https://status.shopify.com/
- Try again in a few hours

You can also send me an email at brittany@beezeeart.com and I can get back to you as soon as possible with a copy of the file. (Please be sure to let me know the order # and email)

Can I gift the pattern to a friend?
I don’t offer a gift option. If you use their email during checkout, the download link will go to them, but so will the receipt so be sure that’s what you want.

Is there a refund for patterns?
No, all sales are final on my digital items

Can I sell items I make from your patterns?
You may sell items you create with your pattern, provided that you credit the pattern design to BeeZeeArt. Under no circumstances may you redistribute, sell, or otherwise claim these patterns as your own.

What if I don't have a printer?
I recommend using Staples document printing services and having them shipped to  your home or picked up in store. Another alternative may be to check your local library as they often have document printing available for as low as 10-20 cents a page.
